Our NursEd Privacy Policy is meant to explain how we collect, use and disclose the personal information you deliberately provide us, so you can make informed choices while using this site.

NursEd respects your personal information and legal right to privacy and security. As nurses, we are held accountable for maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of personal information we obtain from clients. Our obligations are regulated by nursing regulatory bodies in every Canadian province and territory.  We collect and use the personal information you disclose on this site in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).


Membership Account Registration Information

Consent is implied when you register for an online membership account. We collect your email address for the purpose of registering for an online MyNursEd membership account, which is required to access and use web-based NursEd Products. Your email address provided is safeguarded against unauthorized use and disclosure in a secure electronic database.

Sometimes, we may use your email address to let you know about updates or changes to NursEd that may be important to you.

Your MyNursEd membership account is active as long as you choose to use it. If you decide to have your account deactivated, please contact hello@nursed.ca. Your personal information will be safely erased from our archives. See our Terms of Service for further information about account use and deactivation.

If you choose to withdraw your consent, or not disclose your email address, it will affect our ability to offer our Products and Services to you.


Email Subscriptions and Notifications

If you choose to sign up for an email subscription or an email notification, we collect your email address to provide you relevant information only for the purpose in which your email address was collected.

Email addresses are stored in a secured electronic database and protected against unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

You can withdraw your consent for email subscriptions at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email you receive from us. Your email address will be erased from our database and you will stop receiving emails from us.


Email Communication

If you communicate with us through email, we retain your email address and the content of your communications as well as our replies.


Phone Communication

If you communicate with us over the phone, we erase your phone number from our records after 72 hours. We do not record or transcribe phone conversations.


Practice questions

Your electronic answers and responses to questions are erased after access to your purchased products expires (see Products for more details). The information you post privately will not be disclosed to third parties.


Disclosure

NursEd will never sell, rent, loan, lease, share, or disclose your personal information to other organizations unless you provide us with written consent – and unless disclosure is required or authorized by law.

Website 

From time to time we may monitor traffic volume on our website or usage of Products to improve our business offerings. We do not use cookies, but we may access IP addresses through our web server if we suspect illegal activities or threats.

Our website makes reference to other websites and organizations, which are not governed by the same privacy policy, terms of service or disclaimer.


Third Parties

PayPal™ is the payment gateway we use to facilitate payment processing. PayPal™ will only have access to the personal information you provide in association with their business transactions. See the PayPal™ privacy policy for further details.
