When you’ve got something important to do – an assignment to write, a proposal to create, or an exam to study for – and you’re feeling bored or distracted, try doing nothing.
Don’t look at your phone, don’t scroll Instagram, don’t nap, don’t clean, don’t socialize, don’t move.
Simply sit there and do nothing but think.
It only takes a few minutes of doing nothing for boredom to become more painful than the thing you need to do.
It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you don’t allow yourself to spend scarce time on less important things.
Do something worthwhile, or do nothing at all.
