A measure of success

If your organization ceased to exist,

if the program you lead stopping running,

if the campaign you launched came to an end,

if the group you created was dissolved,

if the initiative you started was over,

if you didn’t show up at work,

would you be missed?

The value we bring to our work can be measured in terms of what won’t or cannot be done – and who will miss us – when we’re gone.

The people, services, products and organizations that are the most successful, matter to us because they stand for things that make our lives better.

Two questions to ask yourself:

  1. Who would miss you if you were gone?
  2. How do you improve people’s lives?
